GeoMove has no accounts, no analytics and no server of its own. There is nothing for us to collect, because there is nowhere for it to go.
What stays on your iPhone
- The places you save, and the one you are currently using.
- Your per-site rules.
- The record of when a website asked for your location and what it was told.
- Your real location, if you allow it. It is used only so that ending a session can return you to where you actually are. It is never given to a website, and it never leaves the app.
All of it lives in the app's own storage on the device, shared only with GeoMove's own Safari extension. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What leaves your iPhone, and to whom
- Apple. Searching for a city, and turning a dropped pin into a place name and time zone, use Apple's mapping services. Apple receives what you searched for or the coordinates you dropped, under Apple's own privacy policy. We never see it.
- Apple, again, for purchases. Subscriptions are handled entirely by the App Store. We never see your payment details, and we are never told who you are.
That is the complete list. There is no other network request in the app.
The Mac helper
The optional helper talks only to the iPhone you paired it with, over your own connection. It sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
What GeoMove does not do
- No account, no sign-up, no email address.
- No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers.
- No selling or sharing of anything, because nothing is collected.
- It does not change your IP address. A website can still see the address your internet connection arrives from. Only a VPN changes that.
Children
GeoMove is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it.
